Hello Everyone,

This is Janneson you're co-director and promoter of MayrisErinDubs Final Fantasy IX Fandub.

I will be offering all of you the chance to participate in an OPTIONAL fandub project.

The idea of this project is to allow our fans and viewers to "get to know" the voice actors of MayrisErinDubs.

I am hoping to get most if not all of the main characters such as

Quina, Garnet, Zidane, Steiner, Freya, and Vivi

All other characters are very much welcomed and encouraged to participate!

If you wish to participate the deadline is March 24th. I will allow for 1 extension on this project if needed.

If you wish to participate in this project we require...

1) A non-edited (of course if it's something really uncomfortable such as a sneeze feel free to cut it) recording of yourself practicing your character and voicing your lines provided to you by MayrisErin. Videos of you recording are encouraged but if you do not have a webcam or don't feel comfortable putting your face out there a none edited audio file is fine! Bloopers and funny moments are welcome!

2) A seperate audio or video file of you discussing your relationship with the character and your experience voicing it!

Answer the following questions if you're having trouble coming up with what to say...

What do you think of your character?

Can you relate to their struggles or experiences?

What's it like voicing your character?

My recording methodology isn't super conducive to this, as I don't do multiple lines while keeping the mic hot. I can totally keep unedited versions of the individual lines and string some of those together, though. That would also allow me to sort of cherry pick the more interesting/entertaining ones. Would that work for you?

Also, I'm guessing this whole project is for people who are already fans of FF9, but just erring on the side of caution here: How spoiler-free do you want that second bit? If I start talking off-script about Zidane and his character, I'm liable to start marking out about things involving end-game spoilers, so I figured I'd ask beforehand.

EDIT: Oh, and also, how long would you want that to be?

Yes I can be flexible to this! I'd prefer us to try and stick to disk one if possible for now but if a spoiler or two slips in I won't make a big fuss about it. The point of this project is to have fun after all!

You can just upload them using whatever website you prefer. I personally use mediafire. And then just post the link to the upload here in this thread.

There are only 2 days until this is due and only one person has turned anything in... Is no one else interested in participating? Or does no one know it is here? Well I will wait and see but if I do not have at least two more entries I see little reason to bother with this project. Please comment confirming your participation.

I am participating in this. I recorded and sent something, but then realized I wasn't satisfied with it. In the meantime, some of my lines got left out of the packet, so I'm waiting on getting those so I can record those and re-record the interview the same day. I've gotten the okay on going a bit past the deadline, since there were circumstances beyond my control involved.

janneson: Honestly a $20 Logitech headset mic is just about all you really need. It has built in noise removal and you don't have to worry about it being too far away or too close to your face. Save your money and just go buy one of those from your local walmart. Jun 12, 2014 17:15:22 GMT -7
