So I am currently recovering from dental surgery. It's not terrible, but I am limited on what is edible. Just got back from the mall with ReoKiome after picking up some bread bowls from Atlanta Bread Co., stayed there to eat some soup, shopped at Target--we initially went for Pepperidge Farm cookies and ended up buying things that ranged to a turtle Easter egg basket after looking at grills, and our last adventure ended at New York & Co. I didn't have a choice... I now have two new dresses... whoopee!
Now the point of this post... anyone got any ideas for what is edible and soft after oral surgery?

I've never had oral surgery before so totally not familiar with the do's and don'ts but totally thought of smoothies and how amazing they are!

I had my tonsils out when I was much younger. It was hard to take down any solid food during that time too. Mashed potatoes, yogurt and ICE CREAM!

+1 for smoothies! I had my lower wisdom teeth taken out a couple years ago and it was kind of awesome. I borrowed my cousin's Wii and beat Twilight Princess and slept a lot and didn't each much. Other than throwing up from the strength of my Tylenol 3s it wasn't bad but it turned me onto SMOOTHIES! I seriously wasn't into them before this point and I've been hooked ever since. I probably have smoothies for breakfast 3 times a week now. Here's my current recipe, it makes about 2 glasses worth: - 1 whole banana - 1 cup of mixed fruit (either frozen or fresh) - some good choices are any kind of berries, peaches, mangos, pineapple, etc. ---> If using frozen fruit, I microwave it for one minute, OR you can let it thaw at room temperature for a few hours - 1/3 to 1/2 cup of Greek yogurt (I think I use 1%) - 1 cup almond OR soy milk (regular milk tastes terrible and ruins the consistency IMO) - You can also add protein powder or whatever else to help fill you up; I add chia seeds

Mmm, that sounds delicious! I'll have to get ReoKiome onto that immediately! I think I've liked smoothies for a while, but I just didn't consume them very often. I believe that I have liked shakes more in the past, but a good smoothie just hits the spot and is healthier. ^^ Thanks for the advice!
